Working with and reporting to the Special Projects team from the Canadian Council of Physiotherapy University Programs (CCPUP), with members at the University of Manitoba, the University of British Columbia and the Université de Sherbrooke in their entry-to-practice Physical Therapy programs, the successful applicant will engage in a variety of activities for the project titled, “Exploring part-time physiotherapy education in Canada with a focus on equity”. The goal is to prepare a report based on an environmental scan, and to design, distribute and analyze the findings from a survey. This work will occur on and off-site and include regular meetings with the team that will be held remotely. Ongoing mentoring from the Special Projects team will be available throughout the project.
Start and End Dates: One research assistant will be hired, employed for approximately 5 hours/week for 27 weeks (135 hours) from July to December 2026, then approximately 5.5 hours/week for 25 weeks (142 hours) from January-June 2027. There is some flexibility in hours of work within the successful applicant’s schedule, however, there will be deadlines and required meetings within these time periods.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- bilingual in French and English
- ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- proficient time management, initiative and organizational skills
- effective written and oral communication skills (in French and English)
- familiarity with basic computer software (Office Suite)
- demonstrated experience with conducting literature reviews and surveys
Salary: $28/hour (includes 12% benefits) for 277 hours total
